‘Cosmopolitan’ Institute Completes Decades-Long Study On How To Please Your Man

We’ve all ventured into the world of skimpy, permanent wedgie underwear in an attempt to get rid of those VPLs (visible pantie lines). With new high tech undies now on the market, like the laser cut seamless underwear, we wonder if this is the end our much loved and hated whale tail thongs.

Types of Thongs

The word thong is  term used for a variety of tiny, zero coverage underwear styles, all of which involve little to no cloth covering your butt cheeks. I’m listing the three types of thongs here for you to also understand that each one is different than the other.

The g-string is perhaps the most famous of the thongs. Most people use the two names interchangeably, but the g-string is in fact a subset of the general thong category. The average g-string is tiny. It has a band around the hips and a tiny triangle patch of cloth on the back where the band meets the vertical string that runs between the buttocks.. The t-string is the most aggressive form of the thong. It is a classic example of less is more. In this case, we are talking less coverage. Although the Thong has been extremely popular in Brazil for ages, in the US and Canada, it only seemed to be exotic Dancers who first caught on to the trend. The lead-up to the thong’s run began more than three decades ago. Not only did this call for an undergarment that would eliminate the dreaded visible pantie line (VPL), but a skimpy thong was also in keeping with the supersexy sensibility (i.e., casual sex) that dominated the era.

The thong made its way into more and more women’s wardrobes and, in 1995, truly had its coming-out party. That’s when Victoria’s Secret put on its first-ever public runway show, and lingerie became visible in a way it never had been before. “Underwear fashion shows have been around since the 1930s,” says Fields, “but back then, it was a private trade show that only undergarment buyers could attend.” After the whole world saw that, yes, Heidi and Tyra were flossing, demand for the thong skyrocketed. “Retailers responded by turning them out in an array of fabrics and colors,” says Fields. “And denim brands like Juicy Couture and Frankie B began to cut jeans superlow for the sole purpose of exposing the cute new designs.”

Two highly publicized events helped grant the thong its iconic status. First, frisky President Bill Clinton was busted for fooling around with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, and one of the juiciest tidbits Monica confessed was that she had seduced him by flashing her thong. Soon after, Britney Spears solidified her status as pop’s steamiest act by performing in a rhinestone thong under sheer pants at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. The hot factor of the T-shaped undie had reached an all-time high.

How Low Can You Go?

Flash-forward about five years. The power coupling of the thong and the low-cut jean came down with a severe case of overexposure. In keeping with the backlash that most big trends experience, fickle designers got sick of seeing everyone’s straps. “Jeans had been cut all the way down to the pubic bone,” says Gillian Proctor, program leader for contour fashion at De Montfort University in the United Kingdom and coauthor of A Century of Style: Lingerie. “There was no place for the waistband to go but up.” Suddenly, if your thong was showing, it meant it was time for you to update your denim to one of the new higher-rise styles.

And for those of us whose thong addiction had more to do with banishing VPLs than keeping up with fashion, an alternative popped up: NVPLs, the industry-wide acronym for undies with no visible pantie lines. Available in styles ranging from standard briefs to boy shorts, NVPLs are made with ultrathin fabric (usually mesh) and cut with a laser, a technique that melts the material so that the edge has a smooth, seamless finish. This ensures that it’s invisible under even your tightest pencil skirts or bandage dresses.

The fact that the one advantage the thong had over all other styles of underwear has now been completely eliminated puts a major, er, crack in the thong’s appeal.

Unleash Those Cheeks

Like Monica and Britney, a huge contingent of thong fans loved that the minimalist look was considered so sexy. But another saucy style is gaining ground as the undie with the most erotic allure: The butt-hugging boy short (with or without NVPL technology) is the new craze. “Sales of our boy shorts are more than double our thong sales,” says Ali Mejia, creative director and cofounder of Eberjey, a lingerie line sold at Shopbop and Saks Fifth Avenue. Guido Campello, vice president of branding and innovation for lingerie line Cosabella, confirms the trend: “Our boy short is our fastest-selling item,” he says, “and women have told us guys absolutely love it.”

No doubt, male fans appreciate the fact that boy shorts make our asses look so amazing. Let’s face it, unless you’re blessed with Gisele–like DNA, it’s likely that a string bisecting your backside wasn’t doing your figure any favors. Most boy shorts have a seam running down the middle of the butt, which accentuates the curvature of the bum for any body, giving the illusion of a Kardashian–style keister, says Campello. A good trick that I personally used to use is to wear your ugliest pair of granny panties. This is not to make you feel un-sexy but rather to ensure that you will not be tempted to jump into bed with the person.

Always carry a condom. Although you’re wearing your granny panties you should still carry a condom. If anything were to happen, you cannot count on your friend having protection on him, so be safe and carry a fresh condom in your wallet on purse at all times. If the condom has been in there for awhile replace it with a new one to make sure that it isn’t pierced or too old.

If at any point you don’t feel safe, trust your instincts and leave. It doesn’t hurt to be safe rather than sorry!

I’ve searched around the net and put together some of my favorite recipes that I’ve tried out myself. So if you are looking for a cheap yet decadent way to pamper yourself just try out one of these awesome ideas!

Orange Cream Sugar Body Scrub

This recipe is great to remove dead skin and give your skin a healthy glow. The sugar contains glycolic acid and the cream is a source for lactic acid. Avoid irritated or broken skin areas.

Ingredients:
½ cup sugar
2 TBSP cream or whole milk
5 drops orange oil
1 cup olive, jojoba, or almond oil

Mix sugar, oil and cream together. Add orange oil after main ingredients are completely mixed. Apply to your body by starting at the feet and working your way up. Massage in a circular motion and leave it on for 10-15 minutes, then shower it off. This recipe is enough to make one full body treatment.

Lemon Head Sugar Body Scrub

This recipe is both cleansing and detoxifying. Lemon is very detoxifying to the body and will also help brighten the skin.

Ingredients:
½ cup sugar
10 drops lemon oil
or ½ a lemon freshly squeezed
1 cup olive, jojoba, or almond oil

Mix all ingredients together. Apply to your body by starting at the feet and working your way up. Massage in a circular motion, then shower it off. This recipe is enough to make one full body treatment.

Facial Cleanser

Ingredients:
White or brown sugar
Your favorite facial cleanser
Witch hazel
Water

Using your favorite daily facial soap, an easy, inexpensive facial scrub can be made by adding sugar. Simply add a teaspoon of either white sugar or brown sugar and massage it gently on your facial skin. Rinse with cool water and spritz your face with a ½ witch hazel and ½ water mixture.

Coffee & Brown Sugar Scrub

This coffee scented scrub will revitalize not only your skin but your mind!

Ingredients:

1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
3 TBS fresh coffee grounds
5 tsp almond oil
5 tsp jojoba oil
2 tsp honey
1 tsp vitamin E
1 tsp vanilla

Directions: Mix ingredients and use as a body scrub/exfoliator.

Lip Massage Sugar Scrub

Things You’ll Need:

• ½ tsp. granulated sugar
• Petroleum Jelly (Vaseline)
• 1 lip balm (Carmex)
• Toothbrush (new)
• Tissue

directions:

1-Remove all lipstick and liner from the lips with a gentle makeup remover.

2-Apply a liberal amount of Vaseline to a new, clean toothbrush

3-Dip the coated brush into the sugar, making sure that the jelly is completely coated

4-Gently massage the lips in a circular, back & forth motion with the sugar-coated balm for 1 to 2 minutes; focusing on the dry, chapped areas.

5-Remove the excess sugar and jelly with a warm, wet cloth

6-Apply the lip balm to your lips to provide moisture and prevent future peeling.

Women who go by the counting their days method tend to forget that ovulation can occur as early as a day after their period has ended. In truth we could say that there is one week within a month that it is safe to have sex without the risk of becoming pregnant but this isn’t always accurate. Sometimes your body can surprise you!

When Choosing to Use Birth Control:

Choosing a method of birth control is something that you should do with advice from your doctor. But you should do your own research into the subject before going to see your doctor in the first place. There are so many options out there so ask your friends, see what they use, ask their opinions on certain methods and ask your doctor what would suit you best!

Things to Think About:

-what methods seems most comfortable to you?

-are you ok with planning when to have sex?

- are you confortable with inserting a device inside of you? i.e a sponge, I.U.D?

- Is your partner comfortable using a condom?

-Have you been with your partner long enough to trust havign sex with him using one sole method of birth control/ protection?

- Are you forgetful, do you think you would be able to remember to take a pill everyday at the same time?

-Are you concerned about STDs?

- do you want to have children?

Natural Birth Control:

The most basic, natural type of birth control that you can practice is abstinence and natural family planning. Abstinence only works if you are completely abstinent from sex, no ifs ands or buts. Natural family planning, also know as the calendar method, is as said before pretty unreliable. Although these two methods are appealing because they are natural and do not include foreign objects or hormones, the fact remains that these are the least favorable methods of birth control.

I would recommend this type of birth control only when you are in a solid relationship and have already discussed having kids. Ideally you have both agreed that if it happens then so be it.

Condoms:

Ahhh condoms. Men always seem to shun them, but they are truly one of our best friends. They come in different shapes, sizes, colors and flavors and ultimately are about 85% effective in protecting us against unwanted pregnancies and STDs. There are new condoms out there which are not made of latex and have a very natural feel to them. I recommend trying them out if condoms are your preferred method of birth control. The issue that many people have is that their partners don’t want to wear one. If this is the case you should try out different kinds of condoms and see if there is one in particular that works for both of you. If not, and you are both committed to each other, then think about using a different method.

Another issue that can occur is the condom breaking. If this happens your best option is to go to a pharmacy and get the morning after pill without delay. There is no point in taking a chance. If the condom breaks when you are with a new partner or someone you don’t know that well you should get checked out by your doctor and have STD tests done.

The perks of using condoms is that they are relatively inexpensive and even free at some clinics. They are also available everywhere! So there is no reason to say ” oh I don’t have one”. Make him to buy some, not havign one on hand is no reason to risk yourself!

Female condoms are also available as well as spermicides. These two methods are however not nearly as effective as a male condom. A good idea though is to combine the use of a male condom and a spermicide.

Birth Control Hormones:

The birth control pill is about 95% effective in preventing unwanted pregnancies but it does not offer any protection against sexual transmitted diseases. If you are being sexually active with a new partner you should consider using both the pill as well as condoms.

Birth control pills allow women complete control over the possibility of pregnancy. Usually the pills are comprise of 21 active pills and 7 inactive (placebo) pills. The active pills have a combination of estrogen and progestin hormones. There are many different combinations for the pills, you can get high estrogen ones or very low dose estrogen ones so it is good to talk about these with your doctor and figure out together which ones would be best suited for you.

Some perks about these pills is that they can help regulate your period as well as alleviate menstrual cramps, PMS, migrains, heavy bleeding and even sometimes acne. There are side effects to consider as well though like weight gain, moodiness, high blood pressure, blood clots (especially in smokers), nausea, breast tenderness and irregular bleeding. Of course this isn’t to say that you will necessarily experience any of these side effects and even if you do, sometimes switching to lower dose pills will help.

Birth control shots are also now available. The problem with these is that they tend to last three months which can be great if you happen to be forgetful about taking your pills, but, on the other hand this means that if you have negative side effects you are stuck with them for three months. The shots should not be taken especially if you have a history of depression because they can worsen it.

There are other methods out there that I will not get into such as birth control patches. But there is plenty more information out there if you are interested in alternative methods of birth control!

Remember, there’s always a method that will be best suited to your body and lifestyle, it just takes a little time sometimes to find the one right for you! So don’t give up after trying one type of pill, instead talk to your doctor and find something else. In the end of it all it is well worth it to be protected against becoming pregnant when you really aren’t ready for children.

Claiming more than 3 million users, RedLightCenter is an adult 3D virtual world that has invited real-life women to submit provocative or even nude photos of themselves to display side-by-side with the RedLightCenter avatar on their profile.

The turbulent storm was raging outside, just as it had been almost all day. The humidity and the pounding of the rain were making me sleepy and tired. Just plain old groggy. I began to feel my sexuality as the sweet fragrance of my own flesh rose and hung in the heavy air. As I closed my eyes, I saw my delicate body and envisioned it wrapped lightly in silk. Some may call it energy, others may consider it Gods work, some mistake it for love, whatever it is, it is certainly THERE! Most are satisfied with terming as the “connection” a couple feels when they are together. You can feel it by just a touch, holding hands, a kiss, a hug, or unbridled passion while making love. It’s that wonderful “draw” that pulls us together and makes us feel “right”.

Finally, we take the “mental” picture. Does intelligence turn us on? Does it also matter how bright someone is, as well as how good-looking they are? Admittedly, there are some folks of lower self esteem that actually prefer to be with someone dumb and willing. A greater number of us get totally turned on by a male or female with intellect, wittiness, and a great sense of humor. We like to be with someone that we feel are our equals, or someone that is beyond us, that may be able to help us to grow in some way.
